Forecast Discussion
A weak low passing to the northwest of the region will keep fog on the summits this morning with a slight chance of snow shower
s. This system will drag a cold f
ront across the region early this morning, dropping temperatures back below freezing for the re
mainder of the forecast period. Later on today, high pressure will try to wedge its way in, bringing some drier air onto the su
mmits and clearing the fog by sun
set. The summits will remain in the clear tonight, however, clouds streaming in ahead of the ne
xt low pressure system will keep a fair amount of clouds overhead. Temperatures will also begin to warm again, as this next sto
rm moves into the Great Lakes reg
ion.
