Forecast Discussion

High pressure anchored to our northeast will continue the stretch of dry and seasonable weather. Temperatures will be above average through the forecast period. A band of high thin clouds will move through the region today but mostly sunny conditions will prevail and temperatures will climb above the freezing mark. This presents the potential for falling ice around radio towers and other summit buildings, but most of it already came down or was sublimated away yesterday and last night. Temperatures will drop down below freezing overnight and anything that started to melt will once again refreeze making for some slick spots on the summit and a crusty snow pack. The clear weather will continue through much of the day tomorrow however, clouds will be on the increase during the evening as an area of low pressure passes to our west and drops a cold front down from the northwest.
