Forecast Discussion

A large, complex area of low pressure will continue to affect the summits today. Rain will continue for most of the day, with the steadier precipitation moving out this afternoon. There will also be a slight chance of a thunderstorm this morning, and again late today and tonight as the cold front passes. After the cold front passes tonight, temperatures will drop back below freezing and any remaining showers will turn to snow. A lack of any significant pressure gradient will continue to keep winds at relatively low to moderate speeds.
