Heat waves: Warm air from the east and wind is the reason for the
weekend's abnormally high temperatures on Svalbard.Svalbard is ready to
get a new heat record on Saturday. Warm air from the east allows for
unusually high temperatures.
Svalbard is a group of islands in the Arctic Ocean. It is the most
northern part of Norway. It is about halfway between mainland Norway and
the North Pole.
