Marine Synopsis for Newfoundland
================================

* NOTE: Corrected and/or amended bulletins are listed first *  FQCN20
CYQX 200534 Marine weather statement for Newfoundland issued by
Environment Canada at 3:04 A.M. NDT Friday 20 March 2009. A low pressure
system over the Labrador Sea will intensify today and bring gale force
westerly winds of 35 knots to northernmost waters. Meanwhile, a low
pressure system will develop off the U.S. eastern seaboard and slowly
track northeastward to lie just south of the marine district by Saturday
evening. Northeasterly gales of 35 knots ahead of this system will
develop over southern coastal waters Saturday afternoon. Marine
interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the southwest
coast - Ramea and east, south coast and the Belle Isle Bank. Marine
interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in effect
for the strait of Belle Isle, northeast gulf, gulf - Port au Port,
northeast coast, Belle Isle Bank and the Funk Island Bank. End FQCN10
CYQX 200530 Technical marine synopsis for Newfoundland issued by
Environment Canada at 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday 20 March 2009 for today
tonight and Saturday. The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at
10:00 a.m. Systems position. At 3:00 a.m. NDT today trough located over
central Newfoundland. By 10:00 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary trough
located on a line northeast-southwest over the Grand Banks. At 8:00 p.m.
NDT tonight low 1014 mb located south of Nova Scotia. By 8:00 p.m. NDT
Saturday low 1010 mb located over Banquereau. End
