Have you tried grabbing the top of the window and sliding it up.
Sometimes if you're not maximizing the window you're looking at it may
be sitting too low on the screen and the bottom portion is not visible.

That's not it Dave. Thanks for the reply.

Before anyone asks, I AM in HOST MODE = NONE -

Here are links to captures of my Messages and Terminal windows ... you
can see the text input area is blank on one and missing on the other.

Fixed the problem. Apparently I had set a xp window service to disabled
that UI-View32 needed. My bad.

Thanks Gerry,

This is good stuff. I would suggest everyone listen to it. In reality it is nothing new, but going back to what APRS is really all about. I have to agree with Bob. I want to know what is going on now, or soon in an area. Not just track vehicles and houses on my map.

Dave,

The complete path I see here is
KB0OWD-3>RS0ISS-3,RS0ISS-4*,qAo,XE1KK-1
http://f5vag.eu/find/KB0OWD-3

This means the the destination address of your packet is
RS0ISS-3 and the digi identified as RS0ISS-4*.

Does your UI-View Station setup/Unproto address start with APRS ?
Then it should generate the beacon
KB0OWD-3>APU25N,RS0ISS-4*,...

Please see <http://www.apritch.myby.co.uk/uiv32.htm> for UI-View registration information.
Precision Mapping version 8 works with UI-View32; the necessary additional PMapServer7 is
available for download at <http://www.ui-view.org>. At <http://wa8lmf.net/aprs/UIview_Notes.htm>,
you will find useful hints and info for your UI-View setup and use.
