Hello Ian G0TEZ and others ....

Well Ian, you were right when Maria was leaving, and it was -16c
and the threat of SNOW ...then her flight got delayed, and had
to be de-iced, and the temps were starting the plunge and those
in Ontario felt it. We were getting Arctic Air...and some
temps in Canada dropped to the -40s and heard even -50c...but
nothing like Russia where they hit -54c all the time.

At this date, this Arctic Air Mass is leaving and going elsewhere,
maybe home, or <snicker> we'll send it south.

During the day since being here, the lake froze in less then 6 hours
straight across , to 7 inches, so the Ice Fishing will be starting.

Some daytime temps were -20s C with windchills at or making it feel
like -30C ...Night time over night it dropped to -25c and more
and Windchills like -35c. Not to much snow, just blowing streamers
off the lake, and the big one I hear is still open water to pick
up moisture and make the snow streamers. Our snow here is 6 inches
if lucky.

This weekend the swing is the other way to make it feel like spring
and the days should be better.

Maria this morning on Skype told me how hot it is in BRASIL [<0>]
and how these terrific T-Storms are an everyday happening, and like
clockwork we had to say TTFN as one was rolling toward her local.

Enjoy the weekend ...read your piece today on Mr. Baird. Interesting.
