Hi all of you land line lids (;->),
The first and the last of the dial up BBSes, the last being owned by Larry
N2HGY a very good long time friend since we were teenagers, now old farts. It
was located in Edison, NJ, a local call for me that didn't cost money, I
never spent money on a dial up BBS. Of course there were others in my local
calling area, they were everywhere and a few had toll free 800 WATS numbers,
a really great one was in California the land of fruits and nuts. Hey, that's
what made it great, "The program had many forward thinking ideas..." Not the
program actually, California must be the most progressive state in the nation
with many forward thinking ideas. And to think I did it all with my Mighty
486 I built from junk box parts and an external AT&T 14.4kb/s modem running
Mode M, modem.

Then along came the Internet and e-mail, THIS is what we get out of it!
