Some time ago I sent a bulletin about my attempts at repairing a TV remote
control.
The problem was that the buttons lost their conductivity so that when pressed
onto the PCB they did not function.
I tried gluing small pieces of aluminium foil onto the buttons but no glue
seemed to do the job.

However while looking through a Jaycar catalogue I spotted conductive
varnish. The part number is NS3030. It appears to be a German product.
It has an original barcode of 40240280500409. This might help to identify in
other countries. It is a small glass tube.

It is reccomended for repairing PCBs etc so I gave it a go.
It has particles of silver particles in suspension and after shaking you dab
it onto the buttons and when it dries it is conductive.
I found that it needed several coats to get a well covered button.

I have had it in use for a couple of days now and so far so good.
