Yes. I was thinking of a neon. I suppose they could add a Zener in series with
the LED across the capacitor.
No offence intended. We do have all kinds of licences here but they are free
and don't arrive through the post any more. I am a G0, all that means is I
took a morse test at 12wpm making it a 'Class 1' licence but I believe anyone
can operate anything,any mode,any power now what ever kind of licence you
first got
issued with.
I am far more proud of my Class 1 C&G in Radio,TV and Electronics engineering,
which means I am an old pro as C&G 41 doesn't exist anymore. It's a bit like a
prile of 7s beats anything. Take care.
