Hello Bob VK6BE and other reading this posting, which is a reply
to a posting by Bob, under another theme ...hence Power @WW as it
was about stree lights, and power cables etc...
I got your posting, and at the same time, another chap from the
Power company arrived as we,. Maria and I were outside rakking
the leafs. What a chance from the last guy. This visit
was more imformative, and we did reach a point, where the cable
could be moved to, as soon as I take care of some tree branches.
Funny Bob, while our telephone line in, disappeared into the ground
with a machine that toured the area, and that was fun to watch...
made me want to hang on to radio....the poles stayed for cable
< 5 cents a pole paid in rent for the poles ..I guess per month>...
BUT funny , as they placed the telephone service under they didn't
do the same for the power.
The new man, also did something the other never tried .... and it
also went to ...he informed me I was missing a weather cap on the
power stack at the house...so now today, I have to go get the cap
and I wonder why the other guy didn't tell me ...BIG difference
in these two men.
