Ferrite toroids are a big help in many HAM activities.
E.G: construction of baluns, suppression of RFI (radio
frequency interference) and in the construction of antennas.
The FT140-43 type is ideal for baluns in the frequency range
from 3 to 30 MHz, and is well suited for 100 W power range.
It is also best suited to solve problems with interference to
audio and video equipment. Here the audio line, power line,
or coax line is wound a few times through the toroid, and
the interference has gone.
Now I found a new cheap source for these toroids:
10 pieces FT140-43 are available for 17 Euros at
http://www.podelettronica.com
Click there Categori: Toroidi y Ferriti. I ordered and measured
FT140-43. They are best quality.
