I don't usually find much to disagree with in any of John G8MNY's bulls.
However, even if packet isn't on it's last gasp, which I happen to think
it is, it is certainly boring !
Whether you think that non-tech subjects are "the lowest common
denominator" or just of more general interest, the fact is that, if
someone puts out a bull on any other subject than radio it will stir
interest.
My favorite bulls are the ones to HUMOR @ USA. Most of them make me smile,
in fact Winpack is set up to tag them and download them.
The rest of the stuff currently on packet is all radio or computer
related.
I just don't read them, not because I am stupid, in fact I built this PC 3
years ago and it is still very quick - but it was just a boring chore. The
reason I did it was simple. To buy a new computer equivalent to this would
have cost UKP 450. I spent UKP 175 so, no, I wilhang around as long as
packet lasts but read little and send less.
End of a bull with no real effort and no malicious intent, just an
opinion.
