Hi Harry et al.
My main interest in considering finding a light pen (N I have an 'expert' friend looking for one BTW) is the ability to use them to draw pictures. I do remember using them as they came with my Amstrad CPC 464,664 and 6128. They just lugged into the COM 1 port.

The big drawback as I explained earlier was that, due to the low clock speed, 2 -4 MHz especially on CGA screens, you had to draw at a snail's pace and, usually, a straight diagonal line looked like a staircase - in other words, useless.

I don't know the answer to using a CRT or a TFT screen, they both have illuminated pixels so I don't see any problem but I could be wrong.

I'll find one eventually and report back.
