Hi All,
The recent spate of duplicated bulletins has brought forth suggestions that
the "offending" stations should be added to the reject file, and I suspect
there is some confusion regarding the function of reject.sys in fbb
systems, especially amongst non-sysops.
The name reject.sys is perhaps a little misleading because, although it
does enable a sysop to reject mail, both P and B, it also enables the sysop
to hold mail for review.
With regard to the current problems, the hold option is the one that should
be used. Problems such as we are currently seeing are generally shortlived
so that in a matter of days the reject.sys entry can again be deleted.
If a sysop chooses to reject a particular offending callsign he will never
see mail from the "offending" station that says the problem is fixed.
Cheers ... Ray vk2tv
