I think this is worth a further comment:

The messages referred to where I used GMT instead of 'z' were based on the
TPK programme I was using back then. Some versions of FBB didn't like it
so I changed it and all was then O.K.

I am not allowed an AE where I am and am not sure if the BBS I used is
till running.

My current setup is Winpack - Telnet with uploads in 'Human' mode, which
means it does not
add R: lines to the messages. It is just like connecting to the BBS
(GB7FCR) and typing the messages using Header,Subject,body of message and
a /EX followed by 'b' to disconnect.

 You can stop filtering me if you like, Michael. I see far stronger
language than I have ever used from other stations.
