Hi Warren and any others.

Yes, I noticed "Grumpy old bastid" first and then the callsign and thought
"Typical Warren."

I will keep looking until I get something to get my teeth into as any vampire
should.

The Island of Misfit Hams is not the first thing I was in a long time ago.
There was the Convers: site which I had forgotten about but had kept me on
their list. Pete has joined it but I forgot my password and tried a few, only
to get a message saying "Send us the set of rules with your licence." I took a
look and couldn't find it, in fact I couldn't find a licence.

What that group didn't appear to know was that licences were made free and
easier to get a few years ago. I used to get a renewal licence every March
but, as someone pointed out, they haven't sent those out for years.

I could contact OFFCOM which does the regulating now but can't be bothered.

Hamisland.com was a lot easier, they had obviously deleted me years ago so all
I had to do was sign up as a new member, with my callsign and a couple of
questions to make me a new member.

Thanks again for filling me in on the details. Catch you on the flipside.
