Hi Ian and any curious lurkers,

Yeah, this being an open forum hopefully our exchange will pique some
curiosity in others... hmmm.

There were a couple of software changes while I have been a member and this
format is exceptionally easy, has some very worthwhile features like IRC chat
in the upper left corner of the home page. Like I said I don't use it, I hunt
and peck at a snail's pace and they'd get bored. (;->)

Oh, you noticed the Welsh novice, he shows up once in a while along with a
Canadian and a couple of Aussies, the Dutchman is a regular and "Bubba" is
from Guam... but that's US. (;->) Naturally there's a preponderance of US
hams there, not only is it a US web site BUT we have more Misfits than
anybody else! (;->)

Thanks for putting me in your friends list, now that you're established
(you'll post sooner or later, hi) I'll put you in mine. BTW, the longer you
hang around the more people you'll find with common interests and
backgrounds, naturally, and the list will grow. For what it's worth they
voted me "grumpy old bastid" that shows up as my Island title along with my
callsign and avatar, look up "AT&T Golden Boy" and you'll see how utterly
vain I am. (;->) Sooner or later Sue KB2SFH will show up, a "grumpy old
bastette" (not her official title) whom I've known for years and love to mess
with, then there's Jeff K1NSS who took the "vanity" callsign from NSS, the
old Navy LF station in Anapolis, MD he has a fond memory of and then there's
John N2NH who is a fellow rail fan and took is callsign from the New Haven
Railroad. Sometimes trains come up and several join in pictures and all.
Speaking of which I recently posted a bunch of historical pictures of radio
station WOR (710KHz NY) and a personality we have common interest in, Jean
Shepherd. You're probably one of those who only remember him from A Christmas
Story that has joined the classic movies on TV. (;->)

"Thank you Warren."
Oh you're quite welcome Ian, considering your history of interesting and
sometimes outragious posts on packet I'm sure you'll carry on the tradition.
Yeah, I remember some of those BNP oriented comments... heh heh heh.
