Hi Ian and all,
Right, I AM an instigator so I'm glad I instigated you to swim over to our
little island paradise, The Island Of Misfit Hams. Now I'll let you in on our
little not secret, the title came after the movie Island Of Misfit Toys.
Improved over the years? Eh, it has its ups and downs, often round and round
but if you can weather the occasional storm (like any message board, Newspeak
for BBS) you'll have a lot of fun with a great bunch of guys and dolls. Hey,
that was a movie too.
BTW, it's not a chat site but it has a chatroom I haven't used for the same
reason I haven't gone deep into non voice digital modes, I'm a lousy typist
and often pause mid sentence to think a moment. Yeah, live K2K QSOs tend to
expose flaws. (;->)
One last thought, there is a political forum where the poop flies thick and
fast but if that's not of interest you don't have to join in. We have a
Dutchman who does BTW and how! Soon you'll notice our international make-up
and feel right at home.
