Hi Ian and all,

Cats are like today's immigrants, they may speak a word or two of English but
otherwise expect you to learn cat. BTW they only leave things behind if
they're not trained to use the box or allowed outside to bury it. A dog will
do the same thing, unfortunately turtles can't be trained but I digress.

I suppose you haven't seen feral cats, few have since they take off like a
shot the moment they sense your presence, but like their larger cousins they
do swim. No BS, I've seen them when I lived in a rural area with a creek
(West Creek actually) out back and tigers on TV. When trained by mama cat
they have no fear of water, I suppose they can be trained likewise by a human
starting when they're very young kittens before they develop that "natural"
aversion and prefer to bathe in cat spit.

Now you reminded me of a girlfriend's ancient, toothless "moggie" that could
barely walk and coincidently was all black. I mentioned it before and how it
lost it's voice and "meow" came out as a strangled hiss, it too had
consonants on each end. I never did figure out what "khhhk" meant by itself
but being an attention getter the message was in where it stood, near the
bowl or near the door. R. A. Heinlein named Shroendinger's cat "Pixel" but I
never figured out what "blert" meant as it sat there on the dashboard of The
Gay Deceiver or got tangled in somebody's feet and disappeared. You never
know with a cat that's dead and alive at the same time!

Hey, how did Pete manage to hijack this thread so we went from banned to Mrs.
Slocomb's pussy?
