Nice to know youare rejecting idiots and Hoosiers(?).
Tale of a Hi IQ pussy.
As I have mentioned before, I was brought up on a remote farm with it's
collection of farm cats. Most of them were definitely BANNED from the house
but a couple were allowed in. I do NOT like cats because of what they tend to
leave behind. I prefer dogs any day but one particular cat out of dozens we
had was rather strange. It would come in,look up and quite clearly enunciate
the word 'milk; with a very clear 'k' upon having been fed, it would walk to
the door and say 'out' very clear 't'. On one occasion when I was visiting a
hill about 1/2 a mile away, I heard splashing noises and found they were
coming from a narrow, about 3 ft wide pool formed by a crevice in the rocks.
The noise was nade by our moggie swimming around. It was a very hot day, so it
was trying to keep cool' Anyone who has ever tried to bath a cat will know
that it is a stupid, risky process as cats have a strong aversion to water.
The cat was a plain, all black mouser with nothing special about it. I have
never ever heard of a cat which could talk, even if it was only two words. I
know about the dog which could say 'sausages' and was shown on TV but it was
not as clear as our nameless one.
This thought was prompted by Pete and his aging mouser. I would be interested
to know of any other cats which may have said a word or two. I am sure ours
was not the only one wprld wide.
Just a thought from long long ago.
