I think what rattled our friend's cage was when I resked going on to politics
and mentioned how our government had had a vote on whether to attack Syria.
Theu lost by 13 votes out of 650 which does not reflect the 70% or so of the
population that doesn't want to see soldiers dying in what they see as a civil
war in a far away country which has nothing to do with us.
They are also sick of seeing the body bags coming back bia Hercules and being
given a funeral procession through the local town.
The government has put a stop to the processions on TV. The body bags come
another, secret, way now.
In a way, the vote does reflect democracy. The MPs were worried about losing
votes and 13 were brave enough to vote against the party whip.
We were told that 65% of Americans were also agains a forthcoming Syrian war
so I assumed that people would agree with us.
This led to a discussion on packet and not just Pete and Warren put forward
their views. In short, it expanded, I can only presume that, maybe it is
something political with Brad, I just don't understand US politics. Programmes
like RT say that America is a Plutocracy = ruled by money, lately they changed
that to Kleptocracy, lit; reule by thieves but they were referring to the
banks there. Our modern Parliament is very much that way. MPs have had a very
expensive education and tuck money away in offshore accouts - according to the
BBC. Meanwhile ordinary working people are being forced to pay more for
everything.
So, I am to blame for starting it. If I am rejected in Indiana, so be it. I
don't even know pffhand where Indiana is :- 0
