I think you have made a valid point. I don't approve of sloppy routing,
but maybe I should just stop worrying about it, and accept it. I am too
old to change the world now :-)

Maybe we have to accept that the @ field is now simply an *indication* of
where the sender wanted his bulletin to go, rather than a meaningful field.

Perhaps I will remove the @ field from my BBS, leaving more space for the
subject field.

Agreed, we should reject certain content. I reject content that would contravene
the UK licence regulations, plus foreign language content. The purist in
me would like to reject stuff that wasn't ham-radio related, but we are
desperately short of human-generated bulletins so I won't go that far.
