WP messages should only be sent to your forwarding neighbors as "P" messages and not as bulletins to SYSOP@WW or the like.  I s

uspect that many BBSs reject "B" WP updates and, thus, the WP updates aren't getting delivered and then you get the "unread" me

ssage.

If you have a forwarding neighbor that isn't processing WP updates, then you should contact them directly.  It might be that th

eir housekeeping process isn't running or recognizing your WP updates for some reason.  

I send out WP updates at new "raday" and I've not had any come back to me unread.  My system gets WP updates throughout the day

 and processes and kills the messages pretty quickly.
