Title: Re:CP SYSOP: Polling and Network Efficiency

How about instead of creating single points of failure, or re-designing something that has been working perfectly good for decades, we educate the SYSOPs to manage their nodes properly?

Polling, or Request Reverse in the BPQ world, has a good use.

I have two nodes that connect to me via AXIP but neither are on 24/7. I have forwarding turned off for them and they Poll my node, or have Request Reverse checked in BPQ, to retrieve their latest bulletins and personal messages while they are online.

Under normal circumstances polling and request reverse is not necessary. This is one case where it is. This is basic sysop stuff everyone should learn.
