Hi,
following my attached msg It happens that after an IP
change at about 15.00 UCT of yesterday afternoon my
system don't receive any RIP2 broadcasts (i.e. after
13 hours from change).
The fact is that the portal.ampr.org updated both
encap.txt and gateway.txt say after 1 hour but the
expected RIP2 remained absent since now.
I would like to know if this problem exsists on
other 44net gateways having static or dynamic IP.
Thank you.

As per my concern and my own experience the portal.ampr.org
is functioning as per nowadays almost well so many thanks
to the maintainer G1FEF & Co. for their good job!
Owning a dynamic IP address and having in this last period
problems with my home ADSL router I got many reboots and
so many changes of the assigned IPs... the results always
are that I got RIP2 broadcasts perhaps less than 20-30
minutes after any IP change.
So, as per my concern, the portal.ampr.org (i.e. encap.txt
and gateways.txt) an gw.ampr.org (i.e. RIP2 broadcasts)
are perfect in their jobs :)
Problems about the inconsistent encap.txt entries and
the lost RIP2 broadcasts may arise when a 44net gateway:
- having a static IP, switch off in temporary or permanent
way.
- having a dynamic IP, don't update their new assigned
IPs each time (or never) towards the internet and so
towards the portal and the ampr.org facilities.
