Our thoughts are with Shortwave Radiogram listeners in the path of Hurricane Ian and its associated storms and rainfalls. We wish you minimum disruptions.

WRMI in Okeechobee, Florida, experienced a power failure for several hours. Their power is restored, but damage to the WRMI antenna field must still be inspected, followed by necessary repairs. It is very unlikely that the Friday 1300 UTC broadcast will be transmitted. If the Sunday and Monday WRMI transmissions are also not on the air, we will probably repeat program 274 next weekend.

WINB transmissions Shortwave Radiogram will probably not be affected by Ian. And here in the Washington DC area, we will probably only some rain from the remnants of the storm. We need the rain.

Videos of last weekends Shortwave Radiogram (program 273) are provided by Darau Blė in Lithuania and Scott in Ontario (both Friday 1300 UTC). The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is prepared by Roger in Germany.

Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 274, 29 September-4 October 2022, in MFSK modes as noted:

  1:35 MFSK32: Program preview
2:41 MFSK32: What do coyotes in New York City eat?*
9:44 MFSK64: Charge EVs at night or day?
14:26 MFSK64: This weeks images*
27:24 MFSK32: Closing announcements
