Hello friends

I hope that everyone is OK after Hurricane Ida and its remnants. We hope electricity and other elements of normalcy are restored to Louisiana as soon as possible, although it may take days or weeks.

Here in northern Virginia, we were visited by Tropical Depression Ida in the form of an intense lightning storm in the predawn hours of September 1. Fortunately the lightning missed my antennas. The heavy rain forecast for later in the day did not really happen here. Instead, that precipitation was much worse New Jersey, New York City, Long Island and surrounding areas. We also wish them (you?) recovery as soon as possible.

A video of last weekend's Shortwave Radiogram (program 219, ) is provided by Scott in Ontario. The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is prepared by Roger in Germany.

Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 220, 2-5 September 2jkjk021, in MFSK modes as noted:

 1:40 MFSK32: Program preview
2:45 Greenland islet is the most northerly land on Earth
6:36 MFSK64: Radio Prague International celebrates 85 years*
11:14 This week's images*
28:33 MFSK32: Closing announcements

New York and Pennsylvania NBEMS nets. Most weekends, as KD9XB, I check in to the New York NBEMS (Narrow Band Emergency Messaging Software) net Saturday at 1200 UTC on 3584 kHz USB, and the Pennsylvania NBEMS net Sunday at 1130 UTC on 3583 kHz USB. Check-ins are usually in Thor 22, and messages are in MFSK32. Messages generally use the Flmsg add-on to Fldigi. If you are a radio amateur in eastern North America, feel free to check in. Outside the region, use an SDR in the eastern USA to tune in and decode. You do not need Flmsg to check in, and most of the messages can be read without Flmsg. If you can decode the net, send me an email to radiogram@verizon.net , or tweet to @SWRadiogram, and I will let them know you are tuned in. USEast NBEMS Net: Please also note the USEast NBEMS Net, Wednesdays 2300 UTC (7 pm EDT) on 3536 kHz USB.

Thanks for your reception reports!
