From the BBC Website:

>O2 UK data network suffers outage

Not here it didn't.

>The data network gets huge traffic due to iPhone usage

What the heck has the i-phone got to do with it ?
It's a crap phone and besides if you have any sense you'd get a
Nokia E90 instead. It's for men - not girlies.

>Network operator O2's data network has experienced an outage
>across the UK.

>Internet and multimedia message services have been disrupted
>for all of the firm's >customers who are on monthly contracts.

Not down my way.

>O2 is not releasing the cause of the outage but says that its
>engineers are aware of the cause of the problem and are working
> to correct it.

Two weeks ago my company landlines suffered crossed lines and frequent
disconnects plus a few other oddities.

And then I see in one of the local rag's headline "Phone's in meltdown".
Across Kent users were getting the same problems and BT were blaming
new software at their exchanges.

[Must be that Big Brother spy stuff ?]

If you wish to own a personal copy of this nonsense then:-
