You might try to contact WB0LCC, he's in Pueblo and always on 14.230 running SSTV.

Hello

I have a question to the group
I am using mmsstv for a long time, and I always have calibrated my
soundcards with wwv with no problems.
However now, I am receiving the pictures made by Dm780 always with a
small slant to the right. My friends tell me that they have calibrated
the cards with the internet option, on the program, from a clock site.
I don't know where the problem is.
Nowadays is quiet usual to see many people transmitting with terrible
slant pictures with no problems with this, and I have to
systematically correct the slant of the pictures to know who is
sending them.
Maybe this is a new way of working SSTV.

Any tips on this?

Maybe - just maybe we've exposed a slight problemette with the MM-SSTV
decoder?

I thought (know indeed) that MM-SSTV could (can) auto-correct slant?

DM780 (build 1989) is able to get MM-SSTV pics spot on.

Maybe you are right I don't know, the difference is just a small
slant, nothing to worry, and I can correct it in auto slant turn on
with no problems.
The big deal is the offset TX of some cards; usually I have to put a
large TX offset on SoundBlaster Live cards, -4.10 Hz for mine.
When playing with a friend of mine that is using Dm780, he receives
well after calibration but is has a very high slant on TX and has to
correct it manually to find the right clock on TX.
I don't know how he has done but all is fine now.
One interesting thing is the high definition of the pictures superb
transmitting.

DM780 prepares the images at 640 x 512 and reduces them to 320 x 256 before
sending.

There will be some very groovy templates in DM780 come mid-November.

Thank you Simon for the beautiful work that you are doing, the
received pictures are indeed the highest quality, they have a very
good processing, and they seemed quite similar to digital.
By the way he is using a usb card that he modify from a IP Voice Phone

They are off. Time over the internet is not accurate enough for a good
slant adjustment.
