Lately I have been listening on 14.236 for Digital Voice, and more
than a few times I have heard someone using MMSSTV on that freq. I
know it is not illegal, but it sure is rude, to ignore the gentlemen's
agreement band plans. Hope whoever is doing it will read this and
stop doing it. By the way, since the flap about the copyrighted MELP
and the changeover to a open source, I have not heard anyone on using
FDMDV. Hopefully it will rebound from this setback. The voice
quality isn't as good as it was before, but it is still usable, and
hopefully someone will develop a better algorithm to use with it.

Are you sure it's MMSSTV I have heard quite a few HDSSTV or is it
Digital SSTV (I think that's what they call it) using that frequency?
Anyway it is another group that are sending high definition pictures 73

HI Dave:
Well you should be here in the states,, we only use 7.173 for digital
sstv,, but the rest of the hams in the world ( and US) have made this
the international "tune Up" freq. People send noises, tune ups,
psk and all sorts of crap.. I would love just to have someone
send sstv.. but it will never happen..
Hams do not know what digital sstv sounds like so they tune up on top
of us..\
we live with what we got..

I have installed the new software but I can't tolerate the squealing when
attempting to monitor 14.236. The artifacts are just to piercing for
my ears.
