Here is a quick list of freq. for SSTV. If you are looking for analog
14.230 is the best day time. I use MMSSTV it is free and works great.
For digital use 14.233 Digital software there is Eastpal, Digitrx,
and Digiace. I like Digitrx the best. Hope to see you on SSTV

a
Ham one time who operated SSTV. He said that Digitrx was by far the
best quality. Is this true? Where will I find the most activity and
which software should I start with? And what should I be doing to get
started on SSTV? I don't have the internet hooked to my shack's
computer so how do I get my pictures on it to send via SSTV? I do
have
a nice digital camera. --- Any help is greatly appreciated.

Tim and John
I don't think that you will ever find SSTV on 7.171
( like usual ARRL-- behind the times, and out of touch)
Digital SSTV is on 7.173.. and has been for years..
Also I don't know of any Digtrx or Digiace,, 99.9% is all EasyPal
these are real digital
3.817
7.173
14.233
 as for MMSSTV
pretty much only
14.230
don't hear much else around right now..
CUL,, Join us 7.173 all day long !! East of Mississippi
