Hi Terry. I have done an SSTV demo several years in the past, but it
was not on-air. I used two laptops, and put the headphones connected to
the "transmitting" laptop next to the microphone on the "receiving"
laptop. Worked pretty well, and of course I explained that it works
pretty much the same on the air, except that the two computers would be
communicating via radio.

There has always been too much interference and/or signals were too weak
to do an actual on-air SSTV contact whenever I have tried at field day.
Other digital modes can be demoed the same way.

Hi, my best way to show SSTV to friends is when I use WEB Site with SSTV
Alive like www.wd7f.com/sstv or www.worldsstv.com and the person see the
picture in different States in the nation or world.

Hi Paul, G0HWC. Almost all of the fun of SSTV is working (and responding)
in real time. Your response pix are related to what you received.
Running in any kind of auto mode just gives you pix, not a QSO.
Just my opinion.

Hi all, With all these new data programs around it would be a big help
if SSTV users would enter their Grid & coordinates into QRZ.com.
Some of these SSTV programs pull this info and give beam headings ETC.
It will not be long before we load the computer with a bunch of photos
go away for the weekend and collect your QSL's when you come home !!!!

Cheers Guys and hope to work you on 14.230 soon

Hi Paul,
Sorry, I thought you were serious! The Grid and Maidenhead coordinates
can, of course, be added to the template on TX at both stations.
Mine is FN42nr. Have fun!
