Yep. I happen to only have 1 "real" sound card installed, but also
have a TV Tuner card and a webcam that happens to have a mic on it.
Guess what... those are all registered as "sound devices" in windows
and the device id's for line in and line out are not matched. From
what i can tell, there isn't a way to change that so the software
application has to be designed to deal with it.
The only fix i was able to do was continually go into setup between
Tx and RX modes and change the device setting.... not fun.

2. Help with Basic Connections

Hi all! I am very new to the MMSSTV program. I installed it in my
laptop and connected the rec-out jack of my Kenwood R-5000 to the mic
input of my laptop, adjusted the gain on the KENWOOD and what beautiful
pictures I am receiving on 14.230 when the band is open!
Now the tough part....I'd like to use MMSSTV on my ICOM IC-275H locally
on 2 meters. I don't have a clue how to connect the laptop to the icom.
I do have an old MFJ 1278B data controller that basically just sits on
the shelf. I use to use it with the old Multi-com program and a little
USB data link connected to the back of the 1278B. It sorta worked good,
but that is such old technology, I don't use it much at all except for
HF WX FAX on 8.502mhz now. I doubt I can use it with this new program
anyway.
Could someone point me in the right direction as to exacly what I need
to buy and exactly how to connect it to my IC-275H & laptop so I can
transmit SSTV as well as just receive it? I never tried to connect
anything to my ICOM except for the Mic and the antenna. I am totally
lost in the digital world. Must be my age, hi hi
I never used any of the jacks in the back of the rig and don't know
what they are for. I assume there is a device to inter-connect the 2
and a way to set up the program to work with it. I tried to read the
help files on MMSSTV but the laptop runs in vista and it said the help
files won't work with this version of windows.
I can supply the owners manual for the ICOM (pdf) to anyone willing to
help me out. A very patience person would be best, hi hi.
