I have searched the help section and the posts and I am still
scratching my head regarding what the difference is between the yellow
and blue traces on the scope display. Can someone explain?

Hi, The two traces have different decay times. The
blue trace is better for finding the sync pulse, for
instance, because it holds the highest amplitude for a
bit longer. The yellow trace is more like real time.

several things should have to be set in mmsstv. the main one is sound card
calibration. your picture received (not video) may be coming in severly
slanted, or propagation may not have been a quality . the problem could also
be the senders problem too (rf on signal, echo from a mike, etc

wait til you get back home a try again
