Dave, it's a Realistic DX-160 not a Kenwood or Icom or Yeasu. ;)
Actually, what filtering is there, is there. Actually there is some
filtering settings in the program that I'm experimenting with...
results mixed. The best I've been able to do ths far is perhaps
2/3rds of an image.

For everyone who has been patient and kind enough to reply to my
requests for help getting started:

Maintaining synch once image reception starts seems to be a bit of an
issue.

Also, I've listened to 14.230MHz for a few days now. I'm in Georgia,
USA... What I'm hearing is a period (perhaps 1hour) of activity with
fair but spotty reception starting somewhere near 17:30-18:00Z, or
2:30-3p.m. EST.

The other suggestions for frequencies... I'm not hearing much on
them, but that could be because the noise floor is higher on the
lower bands, still up around 28MHz... just about nothing.

Propagation conditions? I don't know. Maybe now with the weekend,
there will be more traffic to target.

Now the DX-160 is an analog radio with fairly decent sensitivity.
It's possible I need to use a different antenna and different
orientation (currently 50ft end-fed, random wire, oriented E/W).

I'm not experiencing that much drift; the Heathkit external freq
counter... I'm adjusting for the .455MHz offset properly, and the
drift is pretty darn small after the radio has been operating a
while. I'm happy with this arrangement and know I'm listening where I
should be. This is confirmed with many other contacts from NDBs, to
PSK31 traffic to voice HF programming.

Any other target rich frequencies (and times) in the below 30MHz
spectrum would be appreciated.

Sam

all error messeges are associated with C\Program Files. Program wont
store pics after rec. or import from pic files. doesnt even want to shut
down. Can use program but am limited due to errors. Have tried dumping
program and reinstalling. This does not help so setup must be incorrect.
Not too computer savvy here. Need some help please. N3FFR THX.

Hi Group

I have recently changed my callsign from VK7XOR to VK7OO.
Some sites that link to my SSTVcam have picked up on the change in the
callsign, thanks to those who noticed.

I am here to advise the web address has also changed & for the
immediate future both old and new addresses will work as normal.
However I am planning to make significant changes to my website that
will mean the old links will no longer work.
Sites that link directly to image1.jpg should make the change at the
next opportunity they have.

New link is www.vk7oo.tasme.com/sstvcam
Old link is www.vk7xor.tasme.com/sstvcam

The changes I have planned will allow me to publish (24/7) both
analogue & digital SSTV pictures from multiple frequencies & hopefully
(in the future) multiple bands. (initially just 20M)

-Steve
