Hi all,
I have been using MMSSTV under vista with no problems
But I had the need to turn a part vista security off (UAC)
User Account Control. as it was causing problems with
FTP Widget. Well this has sorted my problem out but after
re-boot that you have to do when turning off. My MMSSTV
still knows my Call but thats about it, It has gone back
to default, It looks like a new install with my call.
So what has happend to all my logs, templates ETC???

And if I can't get them back, how can I save them in case
this happens again?

check your shortcut properties to make sure that the common error of leaving
out the working folder path is actually there...

"start in" should have something like this

"C:\Program Files\Amateur Radio\MMSSTV" or wherever your mmsstv is located

this is a shortcut creation problem, not a OS problem, by the way

Hi Paul,

I have found when running some of the older (pre-Vista) installation
programs and allowing the instal to go to the default location in
"Program Files", will cause many of the files to actually be placed in
the Vista system's "user" folder. To get around this, I just force the
instal to put the files on the main drive path as "C:\MMSSTV\". This
should keep all the files together so the program won't "loose" them.

I guess the MMSSTV 'team' is taking a break for a while (and he does deserve
it), in my haste I've started adding SSTV to DM780.

I think the link below is publicly accessible, if not I'll post another way
somewhow.

"At present I have very poor decoding but I can improve this. For proper
SSTV software there's a lot of additional code needed - picture drawing,
templates, archives, you name it.
So here's a snapshot or two to prove the keyboards are being pounded between
walking the dogs. I hope to have a demo / beta available by about January
21st at the latest."
