Hi Pete and astronuts everywhere,
That's not a typo but a play on words, you sent us the mews, took mews with
you to Mews Lake and blamed it all on the cat. Get used to it, this is not a
dog, cats meow like crazy in an unfamiliar environment because they're
nervous. I had one of those once, I named her Mowser because she just
wouldn't shut up and it took months for her to get used to the place and
finally settle down. For what it's worth I'm glad I found her all wet and
confused outside in a 3 day ice storm, she was the most loving little critter
I ever knew, waiting patiently just inside the door for me to come home from
work and glued to me whenever I was home, even in bed.
So much for the cat, it's good to get out under the stars with your XYL, with
that crowd, not so good. (;->) Once upon a time a friend and I went to a
county park under some less than ideal circumstances, got set up and focused
on the Orion Nebula, then it happened. After freezing our BLEEPs off
stabilizing the scope en route and finding a good spot clear of obstructions
with minimum light pollution an overcast sky rolled in and spoiled the whole
thing.
Yeah, bleeding hot and humid here too and after a month and a half of cool
weather the landlord sent a flyer around asking about removing air
conditioners for the winter. Mama didn't raise no dumb kids, I just KNEW
Murphy would shack up here if he took it out so here it stays until 15
October as it does every year.
