Hello Astronomers everywhere ... and NO , I am not one :)
Maria and I have returned from the "16" Annual Star Party
< Whatever the real name is> at Mew lake, in Algonquin Park.
The event runs from the 5th to the 8th of September, or whenever
there is a new-moon. What I did not know ,is that my long
time chum from public school days and neighbour of those years
was retiring from organizing the event, and the new organizers
were taking over next year, and that might mean, it would
be held in another location. Might even be without my friend.
SO ... it was good to be there. Took some pictures and we enjoyed
ourselves, as did the kat too. yeah brought the @#$% cat with
us, and she meowedd all the way there and back.
Emailed and got a return from my friend, that next year, on the
new moon of the month of September, they will be at Mew Lake
again, so while not part of the RASC or local club, the event is
on again un-official. Oh joy ! :)
Bleeding hot and humid here today...so excuse me not replying to
some postings, as been working outside a bit too much this AM
and it is getting hotter and I need the water.
