Hi Ian and all,
I only read two of Hubbard's books, Battlefield Earth and Dianetics and
then only out of curiosity. The former is a joke to say the least, when
it came to the aliens' names especially his play on words was about as
childish as they come. Dianetics was heavily advertized at the time
claiming to have all the answers to persons' psychological difficulties
but the truth is the so called answers only lead to more questions. It's
actually nothing but a lure to join the cult he cleverly called a church
to avoid taxes.

Quite right, sort of, you need a degree of intelligence to be a celebrety
or you'll never be box office draw but intelligence has little to do with
Scientology. I would have to write a book to explain how a lure works,
brainwashing and mind control so I won't, no sense clogging the BBS with
something people can research for themselves. As far as a lure is
concerned all you need to do is read Genesis to find out how the devil
tricked Eve by mixing just enough truth with his lies to make them
palatable.
Ah yes, religion for fun and prophet (pardon the pun) but that's another
book.
