COMMENT: NOAA AR 1548 has produced 3 M flares during the last 24 hours,
the strongest one being a M2 flare peaking at 16:07UT on Aug. 18th. This
region is likely to produce additional M class flares during the next 48
hours. Geomagnetic activity is expected to be active today Aug. 19th as
the Earth is entering a fast solar wind stream linked to a coronal hole.
Ace spacecraft measurements show a weak shock around 08:00 UT on Aug.
19th, with Bz fluctuating down to -10 nT. Current solar wind speed is
about 600 km/s.
