COMMENT: Solar activity has passed to active levels in the past 24
hours. NOAA AR 11513 produced an M2.4 flare peaking at 16:12 UT on June
28 and an M2.2 flare peaking at 09:20 UT on June 29. In addition,
several C flares were released by NOAA 11512, 11513 and 11515. More M
flares are expected within the next 48 hours with a slight chance for an
X flare, especially from NOAA AR 11513 and 11515.
The geomagnetic field was at quiet levels (Dourbes K between 1 and 3;
NOAA Kp between 1 and 2) during the past 24 hours. Quiet levels (K
Dourbes < 4) are expected for June 29 and 30. Active levels with a
chance for a minor storm are likely to occur on July 1st due to the
expected arrival of a coronal hole high speed solar wind stream.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 071, BASED ON 12 STATIONS.
