COMMENT: The Catania sunspot group 77 (NOAA AR 1504) situated close to

the east limb produced 3 M-class flares in last 12 hours. The M 1.9
flare peaking at 11:32 UT and M1.8 flare peaking at 15:53 UT on June 9,

and M1.3 flare peaking at 06:45 UT today. There were no earth-directed

CMEs associated with these impulsive flares. We expect more flaring
activity at the C-class level and also M-class flares particularly from

the Catania sunspot group 77 (NOAA AR 1504). The Earth is inside a slow

solar wind flow with the speed of about 440 km/s, and the interplanetary

magnetic field is stable with the magnitude of 6 nT. The geomagnetic
conditions are quiet at the moment. We expect quite to active
geomagnetic conditions due to the possible arrival of the CME-driven
shock wave associated with the partial-halo CME from June 6.
