COMMENT: The Catania sunspot group 63 (NOAA AR 1494) produced an M 2.1

flare peaking at 20:05 UT on June 6. The type II and type IV radio
emission was observed associated with this event. The flare was
accompanied with the coronal dimming and partial-halo CME. The CME is
propagating with the speed of about 500 km/s and it is southward
directed. The possible arrival of the CME-driven shock wave is on June

10. We expect more flaring activity at the C-class level, and possibly

also M-class flares. The fast speed stream, due to recurrent coronal
hole, which arrived early on June 4 have caused 3 days of active
geomagnetic conditions (K=4 reported by Dourbes and IZMIRAN, NOAA
reported Kp=4). The solar wind speed is still rather high (about 620
km/s), but it is slowly decreasing. The interplanetary magnetic field
(IMF) is stable with the magnitude of about 3 nT. We expect quiet
geomagnetic conditions with the possible intervals of the active
geomagnetic conditions in the next 24 hours.
