COMMENT: Quiet geomagnetic conditions are expected as the solar wind
speed is reducing from the passage of a coronal hole influence. On the

Sun, NOAA 11476 maintains the possibility for a major flare, M-class and

perhaps even X-class. The lower energy proton channels onboard ACE show

proton level fluctuation suggesting that the Earth environment is
magnetically connected to flaring sources on the Sun. We expect
therefore that any major flare in the coming 24hr from NOAA 11476 will

be accompanied by solar proton event.
