COMMENT: Enhanced geomagnetic conditions are ongoing since yesterday
late. KDourbes, as well as NOAA's planetary K-index registered Kvalues.
This enhanced activity is a consequence of a coronal hole
passing the solar central meridian. As a consequence, the solar wind
speed, as recorded by the ACE spacecraft at L1, gradually rose from
300km/s to 500 km/s with intermittent episodes in which the Bz component

of the interplanetary magnetic field turned southwards. These enhanced

geomagnetic conditions are expected to prevail for another 24h.
Meanwhile solar flaring activity is down to C-class flaring. Active
region NOAA 1476 has however a beta-gamma-delta configuration and has
the potential (now estimated at 40% in the next 24h) for an M-class
flare, and even a small chance for an X-class flare later on.

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 062, BASED ON 12 STATIONS.
