COMMENT: During the last 24 hours only few C-class flares were
observed. NOAA AR 1460 (Catania 1) is growing and has potential for
C-class flares and possibly an M-class flare. A partial halo CME,
associated with a prominence eruption, was detected in the SOHO/LASCO C2

field of view at 15:24 UT, on April 19. The CME was propagating with a

speed of about 500 km/s and it may have an Earthward component. The CME

might arrive at the Earth on April 22. The Bz component of the
interplanetary magnetic field was predominantly negative during the last

hours, however the solar wind speed is constantly low, about 330 km/s.

Due to the low solar wind speed, geomagnetic conditions are at the
moment quiet to unsettled. We expect expect unsettled (possibly active)

conditions to persist during coming hours
