COMMENT: Solar activity is low. Several C flares were produced mainly
by active region NOAA1444, a C-type sunspot group now approaching
central meridian. This region is now stable and remains quite small,
making M-class flares unlikely. Several CMEs were also observed over the

last 24 hours coming from a region now about to cross the East limb.
These events were not Earth-directed, but they herald the arrival of new

activity at the South-East limb within a day. Solar activity may thus
increase over the coming days. After reaching a low maximum of 480km/s,

the solar wind is now slowing down again. We thus expect mostly quiet
geomagnetic conditions over the next 3-day period. Thereafter, a
trans-equatorial coronal hole that just passed the solar central
meridian may induce a small geomagnetic disturbance (unsettled to
active).

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 061, BASED ON 10 STATIONS.
