COMMENT: Solar activity was moderate, with an M1 flare that occurred at

the SE limb in active region NOAA1445. This D or E-type sunspot group
has just rotated onto the disk. This group, as well as new AR Catania79

(NOAA1443), will likely produce C flares, with a possible M flare mainly

from AR 1445. Both regions are still far from the solar central meridian

but will approach disk center in the coming days. The solar wind speed

has started rising over the last few hours, probably marking the
entrance in a moderately fast solar wind stream. This transition induced

temporary unsettled to active geomagnetic conditions over the last few

hours. The magnetosphere is expected to remain unsettled until tomorrow

March 25, before returning progressively to quiet levels.

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 063, BASED ON 17 STATIONS.
