COMMENT: Solar activity is expected to stay at eruptive levels with
risks of C flares from NOAA AR 1434 and 1435. An isolated M flare is
possible. An M1.3 flare occurred on March 17th at 2039UT (peak time) in
NOAA AR 1434. No CME was observed in association with this event. The
halo CME, first spotted in LASCO C2 pictures at 0024 UT on March 18th,
is a backside event relative to Earth. Geomagnetic activity is expected
to be mostly quiet during the next 48 hours.
